Content marketing has grown in popularity over the years and is adapted by many businesses. Has your marketplace done the same? Establishing credibility and education to prospective clients is more important than ever. If you are having trouble coming up with ideas for your content marketing, here are 3 simple and easy ways to supplement your needs.

Educate Your Clients

Why do people come to your website or blog? They are doing one of two things: conducting research prior to making a purchase decision or are looking for answers to their issue. Depending on your marketing strategy,  you maybe writing strictly about your product and it's features or simply not writing blogs at all. If you are not, then your search rankings can be vastly improved. You may be thinking, what should I write about or it’s too time consuming. Well that can be true, but if you want to improve your marketing efforts then it has to be done.

One of the best and easiest ways to start your blog is with education. Share insights on what learnings your business has gone through as an entrepreneur, marketing, sales, and any other aspect. These case studies will help build a better reputation with your audience and even work as a great conversation starter on social media. Education goes beyond just writing something and sharing but rather through interaction and teachings. Do this with your audience and you will have plenty of content to share.

Write Book or Seminar Reviews

The learning never stops. If you don't keep up with the latest trends by watching seminars or reading books, then you will quickly fall behind. As you incorporate these into your routine, you can "kill two birds with one stone". While you are learning something new, you can also write a blog post to help supplement your writing efforts. It's great to write reviews as it can give those who missed it a summary or link to watch it for themselves.

Cross-promotion is also something that quickly comes to mind. As you write reviews and share them on social media, be sure to tag the authors and companies. This will help bring your traffic up as if you get a response or retweet, then their audience now will see your account on their timeline. It will help increase your reach with a simple blog post and help create a connection. Check out a book review on Bryan Kramer’s Shareology below.

Invite Industry Leaders

What better way to educate your clients than getting the leaders in your industry to share their insights. Leadership is hard to come by and we all know it takes lots of time and enough to establish. Many startups attempt to position themselves as thought leaders but struggle as they do not hold the credibility. Jump start your credibility by inviting the big names onto your blog for a guest post or podcast. This content will be very beneficial for your audience and maybe even for your business.

As discussed above with cross-promotion, it will have an even bigger impact within industry leaders. With a well-backed community behind their social accounts, your content will be shared on a much larger scale. If you allow them to help promote themselves, there should not be any issues with them on your blog. It becomes a win-win situation.

Get out there are making a splash! Content marketing will and can make the difference between you and your competitors. As you look for more ways to help your efforts, be sure to check out our Content Marketing section for more articles.
